Under ice algae dynamics and health state

Abstract

Photosynhetic parameters of under ice from the water column and under ice was measured using Pulse Amplitude Modulated fluorometer (PhytoPam). In addition, at each process station, water was filtered to look at pigment composition. Finally, water subsample was fixed in gluteraldehyde for information on cell traits (such as size) using flow cytometry.
