    Filtering coccolithophores and other small plankton for SEM Aen 2021710 Joint Cruise 2-2

    Abstract

    Water samples taken for SEM-filtering onboard the 2021710 AeN Joint Cruise 2-2 in the Arctic basin. The cruise took place from August 24th 2021 and lasted until September 26th 2021. Water samples from CTD, under-ice water and melt ponds were taken for filtering on 0.8 µm polycarbonate filters. Nansen Legacy protocol version 9 section 7.23. Note: sample depths differ from previous cruises. 15m was taken instead of 10m because the CTD measurements through the moonpool were bad before 15m. 300m was taken instead of 200m to better capture the actual different water masses in the sampling area.
