abstract Bulk sediment samples were taken for analysis of sediment grain size, total organic matter content, total nitrogen content and carbon stable isotope composition. Six layers of the sediment (0-1, 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5, 5-6 cm) were sampled with a 5.5 cm (inner diameter) core. Samples were placed into 60 ml cerbo containers and kept at-20 deg C. This work is part of RF3 of the Nansen Legacy project (Task 3.2), cruise SS Q3, August 2019.
