Lunar Precision Filter Radiometer (Lunar PFR)

The Lunar PFR is operating automatically after initial set-up. In case of power break the operations routine is restarted automatically. The instrument is operated in Ny-Ålesund only during the polar night months (late October - early March). During the summer half-year the instrument is sent to PMOD/WRC for annual calibrations.
Measurements are performed continuously, following a pre-programmed schedule to track the moon, as long as the moon is above the horizon.
