Part C: ACCESS REQUIREMENTS
Facility
Select from the list below the facility or facilities you are applying for access to or support from. Select all that apply. 
Please provide a short description of your planned work, including approximate location and proposed mode of transport, if relevant (max. 1000 characters including spacing).

Dates of Access

The access period for physical access is defined as the date when the first person in the team arrives until the date the last person leaves the facility.
For remote access, please enter the time period in which you are requesting support from the facility.

Applicants can apply for fieldwork anytime after 1 March, so long as they have a clear plan for obtaining any permits in due time. More information on permits here.

What are your logistical needs (including support from staff at field station)? Please include all equipment you wish to borrow / hire as well as your need for lab, workshop and storage space, and be as specific as possible (max. 1000 characters including spacing).
Users of the SIOS Access Programme are required to make data resulting from the access provided available to other SIOS users, in accordance with the SIOS access and data policies . As a minimum, discovery metadata must be shared with the SIOS Data Management System. Please provide details of how, when and where data are expected to be made available. Refer to the Guidelines for data and metadata sharing for guidance.
What permissions do you require for your work and have you allowed sufficient time to apply for these? Refer to Svalbard Science Forum for guidance on which permissions may be required. These must be in place before the start of fieldwork. If your work requires no permissions, please write NA.
Risk Assessment
Please fill in the following form indicating which activities are relevant to your project. This will be used by SIOS and the access provider to assess your safety training requirements. Attendance of appropriate safety training is mandatory for users of the SIOS Access Programme. Users remain responsible for their own safety and must comply with the specific safety regulations of the access provider.
If you are not sure which risks apply to your project, please contact the access provider who will be happy to help you with your risk assessment.

Part D - PROJECT BUDGET
 
All costs must be in NOK.
Please write the total direct funding you request from SIOS (NOK). This must be the same number as in cell F11, sheet '6. Summary' of the budget template.
Please enter the total in-kind contributed by your project to SIOS (NOK). This value must be the same as the value in cell F12, sheet '6. Summary' of the budget template.

Part E: MANDATORY ATTACHMENTS
For detailed information refer to the guidelines. To make the budget, you must use the template available on the call webpage. No other format will be accepted.
CV of the Principal Investigator (up to 2 pages)
