Svalbard Science Forum (SSF) received a new mandate 3 June 2019 and at the same time increased its number of members.

The project "Firn aquifer observations on Lomonosovfonna  Svalbard (Nbreen)" received funding from the SIOS Access Programme to conduct fieldwork in April 2019. This is their report from the field.

SIOS offers 4 places on the field safety course organised by the Arctic Safety Centre at UNIS, 16 - 22 September, for representatives from SIOS member or observer institutions.
