    Abstract

    Box core samples for analysis of algal pigments (chl a / phaeopigments) in sediment were taken for fluorometric analysis. Eight layers of the sediment (0-1, 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5, 5-6, 6-8, 8-10 cm) were sampled with a 4.7 cm (inner diameter) core and samples were frozen at -20 deg C for later analysis. This work is part of RF3 of the Nansen Legacy project, cruise JC3, February-March 2022
