    Q2 HgDOM Experiment

    Abstract

    Characterisation of Dissolved Organic Matter (DOM) at station P5 from the Chlorophyll Maximum, with variables of 200Hg and Me199Hg isotopes spiked to half of the samples, and with half of samples filtered and extracted immediately (time 0) and half after 24 hours. DOM characterisation will be compared seasonally (winter vs spring) and isotopes will be used to see if methylation or demthylation of Hg occurs.
