    Abstract

    Biomass was taken with vertical hauls of the MIK net (1500 micron mesh). Rare taxa and gelatinous zooplankton were isolated from the sample and frozen (referred to as pickouts). Two subsamples were taken: (1) for metabarcoding stored on ethanol at -20 degrees C, (2) for later determination of species content stored at room temperature in buffered formaline 4%. The masses of the various fractions are reported here.
