Calanus species composition

Abstract

To validate Calanus species composition along the Nansen Legacy Transect we conduct molecular methods to correctly identify individuals to species. Quantatively we sort out 100 individual Calanus (via sub-samples), take photo of them (body size and pigmentation) before we freeze them into a 96 well plate for later DNA work.
