Stable isotopes, fatty acids & HBIs of POM will be used to study coupling/de-coupling of sympagic and pelagic primary and secondary producers. In addition fatty acids (together with C/N ratios) will be used as a measure of food quality for the planktonic grazer communities and will be linked to on board grazing experiment. At all the process stations and main ice stations, water for POM-samples was collected at 20m depth, in order to link suspended fatty acid with grazing experiments.
